Dr. Q’s first mention of doctoring was at age 12. However, this dream almost crumbled because of her parents’ financial standing. She worked twice as hard to obtain good grades in her matric year. And that afforded her a scholarship to study for her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery (MBChB) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Qinisile Diale, commonly known as Dr. Q is a testament that nothing worth having comes easy. Hailing from an impoverished home and in the troublesome streets of KwaMashu Township in Durban did not stop her from dreaming big. South Africa’s first female Fertility Clinic founder, Specialist Obstetrician, and Gynaecologist is a wife and a mother to four children.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery (MBChB), Masters in Philosophy majored in Reproductive Health and Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Her love for Obstetrics & Gynaecology started when she did her internship at Witbank Hospital rotating different departments. She advised that this is where she felt at home. She further studied Masters in Philosophy through the University of Pretoria, where she majored in Reproductive Health. And that qualified her as a Fertility Specialist.

She is now practicing Obstetrics & Gynaecology at her Family Matters Fertility Clinic based at Netcare Unitas Hospital in Centurion. And this was also another challenging project for her. She had to raise millions of rand capital as the technology, equipment, and consumables required were very expensive, resulting in her getting into serious loans.

Message of inspiration
Have a vision for your life. Do not be scared to dream big. Have your dreams on a vision board, and pray on them as you work on them daily. And be deaf to pessimists.
