Johannesburg, South Africa – Glimpse of Glamour Event & Project Management, in partnership with the 1000 Women Trust Organisation, proudly announces the launch of the inaugural Fix Her Crown Awards 2026, a prestigious continental recognition platform dedicated to celebrating, empowering, and honouring extraordinary women who are creating meaningful impact in their communities, industries, and nations.
Taking place on 15 August 2026 as part of the African Women’s Empowerment Summit and Book Launch, the awards will bring together influential leaders, entrepreneurs, change-makers, professionals, community builders, and advocates from across Africa under the powerful theme: “Fix Her Crown… and Wear Yours with Pride.”
Founded by Palesa Mboweni, the Fix Her Crown Awards was born from a desire to create a credible and transformative platform that recognises women who lead with courage, resilience, purpose, and integrity.
“Too often, women carry communities, organisations, and families on their shoulders without receiving the recognition they deserve. The Fix Her Crown Awards seeks to celebrate these women, amplify their voices, and remind them that their stories, contributions, and leadership matter,” says Founder Palesa Mboweni.
While the inaugural ceremony will be hosted in South Africa, the African Queens project is a continental initiative that welcomes participation from women across Africa. The platform is not limited to South African women; it seeks to identify, celebrate, and elevate African women from every corner of the continent who are driving positive change, breaking barriers, and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
The awards aim to:

To ensure transparency and credibility, all nominations will undergo a rigorous independent judging and auditing process led by a distinguished panel of judges headed by Theresa Vivian Moila (Mama Vivi), an accomplished executive, governance specialist, and women’s empowerment advocate.
